How do I uninstall Kiro on a Mac?

  1. Quit Kiro and move it from Applications to the Trash. Ours, version 1.2.56, was 855 MB.
  2. Move ~/Library/Caches/dev.kiro.desktop.ShipIt to the Trash: 861 MB of update downloads.
  3. Move ~/Library/Application Support/Kiro (269 MB) and ~/.kiro (48 MB) to the Trash.
  4. Remove ~/Library/Caches/dev.kiro.desktop, ~/Library/HTTPStorages/dev.kiro.desktop and its preferences plist.

What is the ShipIt folder?

The app's updater stores downloaded updates there before installing them. On our Mac it held 861 MB, more than the app, which is common for apps that update often: old downloads are not always cleared.

What is in ~/.kiro?

Your extensions and editor settings. Keep a copy if you might come back.

Other editors built the same way: uninstall Antigravity.
