How to uninstall VN Video Editor on a Mac, and its projects
VN is a 1.3 GB app on our Mac, and keeps projects and media in a protected folder. How to export what you want, remove it, and clear the rest.
How do I uninstall VN on a Mac?
- Export the videos you want to keep from inside VN.
- Quit VN and move it from Applications to the Trash. Ours was 1.3 GB.
- In Finder, press
⌘⇧G, open~/Library/Group Containers, and movegroup.com.frontrow.appto the Trash. That is where VN keeps projects and imported media.
Why is VN so big?
It is built from VN's iPad app, and carries its effects, fonts and templates inside it. Ours, identified as maccatalyst.com.frontrow.vlog, was 1.3 GB before any project.
Why can I not see the size of VN's folder?
macOS protects an app's group container: on our Mac, Terminal could not read it. Finder's Get Info, or the app's own settings, shows how much it holds.
Other video apps and their leftovers: uninstall OBS.
